Nick Carswell & The Elective Orchestra are down to the last 5 bands in with a chance to open for Bob Dylan at Thomond Park this July 4th!

Needless to say, this is a huge opportunity for a Limerick band to make an impact on the national scene, not to mention the chance to be heard by one of the all time legends of rock’n’roll. However, with plenty of competition in the form of Windings, Last Days of Death Country, Animal Beats and Brendan Markham, The Elective Orchestra will join a shortlist of great Limerick bands in with a shot at this opportunity of a lifetime.

The “Battle For Bob” will take place in Dolans Warehouse on Friday 25 June to decide who plays the coveted slot. Tickets €5/3 with flyer. Stay tuned here and at The Elective Orchestra for more details

Having played the finishing line of The Great Limerick Run and a summer of festivals including Flatlake and The Electric Picnic looming, The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra will relish the comfort of indoors in the cosy surrounding of Upstairs Dolans on June 19th.With the release of their debut album ‘Lowering The Tone’ set for September it’s an exciting time for Limerick’s own musical tour de force.
