The Elective Orchestra play Dublin Unitarian Church on Saturday 28th July 2012
Last chance to catch the band live in Dublin this year!
Dublin’s Unitarian Church on St Stephens Green is the location for The Elective Orchestra’s intimate Dublin 2012 performance, and the perfect setting for the ensemble’s brand of warm acoustic folk. Expect the rafters to resound with warm harmonies, beautiful strings and sweeping crescendos. The Word was actually recorded in two different churches in Dublin and Limerick as well as the site of an old monastery in Youghal, so this music is made for such acoustic surroundings, and will be all the more potent for it.
Acclaimed Dublin poet Stephen James Smith will open the night with his poetry and spoken word, the perfect accompaniment to the Elective Orchestra’s music with plenty of food for thought, and a joy for the ears.
Music, poetry, spoken word in beautiful surroundings make this a unique evening that will not be repeated for some time. Don’t miss it.
Tickets are €8 and the performances with begin at 8pm.
