MXM2017 Discussion: Music in Public Spaces

As part of MixMaster2017 this year at Crossroads Music Fest, we are expanding to share conversations not just for musicians, but for anyone interested in learning more about exciting things happening in music, locally in the KC region.

At 2pm in the Downstairs performance space in The Living Room, we are having a conversation about Music in Public Spaces.

2pm: Panel – Music in Public Spaces

Libraries and other public spaces have become locations for music-making, places to access technology, and venues to share and celebrate music. What is it like for the artists who work in these spaces? What makes it work, and what is the future of music with public and shared resources?

Panelists: Jim Barnes (Lawrence Public Library), Ralph Tomlinson (Olathe Public Library), Donna Mandelbaum (KC Streetcar / Art in the Loop)

Moderator: Kasey Rausch (KKFI River Trade Radio, Kasey Rausch Music)
